Garner State Park

On the Cool, Clear Frio River:

I dont think I have ever seen water so clear. I just wanted to jump in.

The concession building and dance pavilion, are really nice, under big trees, right next to the Frio River down below limestone boulders.  I would like to come back to see this area at night in the summer. I walked to this area from my campsite which was about 2 miles, and back. But walking and taking in the sites its easy.

• Hill Country State Natural Area
• Devil's Sinkhole State Natural Area
• Kickapoo Cavern State Park

I loved my parking spot, trees all around, nice level spot.

 I was here when the Cold front came through at 26 degrees.
